TANDEM SKYDIVING...Your FIRST Jump   Here at Thai Sky Adventures, we offer a number of methods to complete one of life's most memorable experiences – a skydive. The easiest and safest way to make that big leap is by Tandem. In this method, you are attached to a highly experienced instructor using a dual harness/single container parachute designed for two. The great thing about this method is that you are never alone during your whole adventure. Your experience begins with a short training course designed to familiarize you with the equipment, exit, body position, canopy and landing techniques. You are then matched up with your instructor who will fit you a harness designed to attach to the instructors harness. When your name comes up on the manifest, you and your instructor will take a 20 minute scenic ride to 13,000 feet then freefall at 120 miles per hour for approximately 60 seconds opening your parachute 5,000 feet above the ground.     Once you've regained your composure (and your breath), you get a 5 to 7 minute canopy ride enjoying a birds eye view of the world around you My favorite question at this point is, “So how do you like my office window?” If you'd like, you can assist the instructor flying the parachute and together you will fly back to the ground for a soft landing. There is another way to get that first jump in – accelerated freefall (AFF). This method is designed for the individual who knows that he/she wants to become a licensed skydiver. We offer the traditional AFF program. The best method of preserving any of these experiences to enjoy in the years to come and to it share it with your family and friends is with air-to-air video.

½ Day Tour Program for Tandem Skydiving

Allow 4 hours from pick up to drop off. Normally finished after 3 hours.

Pickup Between 08.30 - 15.00 Pick up from your Hotel (Pattaya/Jomtien)

Please phone 085 900 3412 to arrange. Or your tour agent will arrange this for you.

Please note it is best to begin as early as possible to guarantee your jump on that date.

• Drive in bus for 20 minutes to Ao Udom/Sri Racha (near Pattaya) airfield where we have our Drop Zone.

• Arrive at Drop Zone and meet staff, take a drink, eat if you wish.

• Meet your Tandem instructor and go through the safety/equipment brief, make payment and fill out registration forms. They will tell you what's going to happen during the jump, how to sit in aircraft, what to do when landing, and answer any questions you may have etc.

Tandem Jumps

1. LIFT - Tandem Jumping - you will be assigned onto the next available plane load and await lift to 13,000 feet/4,000 meters. Once in plane this takes around 15 minutes.

2. PREPARE TO EXIT - At 13,000 feet/4,000 meters plane door will open and instructors will "check out" with you if your ready to jump.

3. JUMP - Instructor and you will exit together on Tandem rig and freefall for approximately 60 seconds/1 minute at around 120 miles/190km an hour.

4. PARACHUTE DEPLOYMENT - At around 5000 feet/1500 meters the parachute will open and the wind noise will stop suspending you in relative calm with views over the Drop Zone.

5. CANOPY FLIGHT/LANDING - It now takes around 10 minutes to ride to the ground with magnificent views over the area below. Ask your instructor if you can have a go at flying the canopy!

After landing you'll probably need a few minutes to get your breath back! Take a seat, have a soft drink/beer and watch the other skydivers while awaiting the completion of your video (if you want). Drop off back in Pattaya/Jomtien.
